PARA UMA RECONCEPTUALIZAÇÃO DO PROCESSO DE ALFABETIZAÇÃO. DESAFIOS COLOCADOS PELA COMUNICAÇÃO DIGITAL

O artigo discute desafios colocados ao processo de alfabetização no contexto da comunicação digital. Apresentam-se e discutem-se dados recentes sobre o uso de tecnologias digitais por crianças pequenas e introduz-se o quadro teórico das multiliteracias (NEW LONDON GROUP, 1996), que sustenta a ideia central apresentada neste artigo. Defende-se uma reconceptualização do processo de alfabetização para a era digital, identificando os modos semióticos como conteúdos de aprendizagem e destacando a prática situada na cultura digital das crianças e nos seus fundos de saber (MOLL et al., 1992) como pilares do processo pedagógico. O artigo conclui sugerindo a necessidade de uma redesignação que dê conta do novo paradigma pedagógico de alfabetização que parece estar a emergir no século XXI.
